Traditions

I love this time of year! Christmas is by far one of my most favorite holidays. It always has been. There is a sense of magic, especially when children are involved. One of the reasons I love Christmas so much is that it gives us an opportunity to partake in many traditions surrounding this time of year. The first of the Christmas holiday season traditions for us is our annual family trip to Leavenworth for the Christmas Lighting Ceremony. It is so much fun! If you haven't had the opportunity to go you should try and go next year. Accommodations in the area book up fast so even a year in advance isn't too soon.
Here is a little snippet from their website.......

"Leavenworth, Washington - Your Bavarian Getaway transforms itself into a virtual snow globe of Christmas Magic. Crowned "the Ultimate Holiday Town USA" from the A&E Network and featured in 06 & 07 by Good Morning America, Leavenworth welcomes you with Roasting Chestnuts, Holiday Characters, Old Fashion Caroling and pure simple Christmas Magic."

I might add shopping in cute little quaint shops and sledding. In the middle of the town is a little park where kids and adults alike sled throughout the day and evening. Lots of fun!

Just wanted to share this with anybody who might be looking for something to add to their holiday repertoire. We'll be there this weekend! Think SNOW!!!!

Hope you have a great time! AND you get snow! Just isn't the same without it. We've been staying at The Enzian since I was a kid. Jake and I already made reservations for next Christmas. Meet us there! :)
