Christmas Eve this year was an adventure! First, after snowing pretty much all day, we thought we would be adventurous and head over to Mercer Island to participate in the festivities at Bryan's parent's house. They live on a big hill and needless to say we didn't make it up that hill. We got stuck. So the first hour and a half Bryan tried getting our Suburban turned around and back down the hill. Good times. After that, things were enjoyable as we spent time with family and watched a beautiful slide show that Bry's mom created of her Dad who had passed the week before. It was very touching. We then headed home where we had the children each open one present, which is always the same, pajamas. The two younger boys were very excited but Alex was a bit disappointed in getting pajamas. Next, we read the story about the Birth of Christ. I love reading that story. It really helps the boys understand the true meaning of Christmas and why we celebrate it.
